“F4 Global Law” refers to the Corporate and Business Law (LW-GLO) exam, formerly known as F4, in the ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) qualification. It covers international legal frameworks and business regulations pertinent to finance and corporate professionals. 
Core Syllabus Overview
The F4 Global syllabus evaluates fundamental legal principles and their application in international business. Key areas of study include: 
  • Essential Legal Systems: Arbitration vs. litigation and internationally applicable laws.
  • Law of Obligations: Essential elements of contracts, torts (such as professional negligence), and employment law.
  • Business Organizations: Formation, constitution, management, administration, and regulation of companies.
  • Capital Financing & Insolvency: Raising finance, capital types, and legal procedures for liquidation.
  • Corporate Crimes: Insider dealing, money laundering, bribery, and fraudulent trading.
  • International Sale of Goods: Rules governed by the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). 
Exam Structure
The F4 Global exam is a 2-hour computer-based exam (CBE) worth 100 marks, with 50 marks required to pass. 
  • Section A (70 marks): 70 marks of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and objective test questions.
  • Section B (30 marks): Multi-task questions (MTQs) that involve scenario-based multi-part questions
