Eligibility :

Under the new scheme, the eligibility criteria for CA Foundation will be updated. Students can now appear for the CA Foundation examination after clearing their Class 12 board exams and completing a minimum study period of 4 months.

Study Period :-

Register and complete 4 months of theoretical education for the Foundation Course.

Eligibility for Examination :-

Candidate shall be admitted to Foundation Examination, if

He has appeared in Senior Secondary (10+2) examination conducted by an examining body constituted
by law in India or an examination is recognized by the Central Government or the State Government as
equivalent thereto

Subjects of CA Foundation Level :-

Paper – 1: Accounting (100 Marks)
Paper – 2: Business Laws (100 Marks)
Paper – 3: Quantitative Aptitude (100 Marks)

– Business Mathematics
– Logical reasoning
– Statistics

Paper – 4: Business Economics (100 Marks)

CA Pass Percentage :-

  • Under the ICAI new scheme 2023, students must score at least 50% marks in aggregation to pass the CA Foundation exams.

  • Additionally, ICAI will introduce a negative marking of 0.25 for every wrong Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) answer in the new course.

Requirements for passing Foundation Examination

A candidate is declared to have passed the Foundation examination, if he obtains at one sitting a minimum of 40% marks in each paper and minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate of all the papers. Paper Numbers 1 & 2 will be subjective type while paper numbers 3 & 4 will be objective type with negative marking.
